Summer Activities

Well done everyone for making it to the summer holidays! It has been an incredibly strange end to the year but it has been lovely to see all of you who were able to come in at some point to either say goodbye to your teacher from this year, or hello to your new teacher! Once again we would like to say a massive thank you to those of you who have been sending in their work and keeping in touch regularly – it has been lovely to see everything you’ve been up to during this time.

As it is now the summer holidays, we will be leaving you with a range of activities that you could complete should you want something to do over the next 6 weeks. Please find these activities below along with all the resources required. Additionally, we would like to point out that the teachers will not be checking the class emails over this break, but they will be ready again to use when they are activated in September for your new class.

Finally, we would like to say a very big thank you to any of you that have dropped in gifts or cards over the last few weeks. These have been very much appreciated, so thank you!

Wonderful Work of the Week:

As it is the final week of term, we would like to say a massive thank you to all of those who have sent in work and kept in touch over emails. It has been really tough at times, not only for you students who have missed your friends and schooling, but also for us teachers and LSAs who have missed all of you children, teaching and seeing you all learn and grow.  That is why it has been so lovely to see all the hard work you’ve been doing at home. For this final week, please have a look at Yew Bubble’s Birds of Paradise, and Ashley’s amazing transition tree art:

Wonderful Work of the Week:

It has been really lovely this week to have the chance to come together one last time to say farewell to our class, and for the year sixes, to Roselands Primary School. It was a delight to see those who came and for those that couldn’t make it, know that we are wishing you the very best. Once again, we would like to reiterate that we are still you class teachers for two more weeks so would love to hear from you via the class email still. Please send any examples of work you complete to the class email. For this week’s wonderful work of the week, take a look at Ashley’s and Owen’s fantastic 100 days in lockdown acrostic poems, Mary’s brilliant National Writing Day challenge, Amelie’s amazing History of Space Travel presentation, and finally – Yew bubble’s Henry VIII’s wives art:
