World Book Day

World Book Week

Across the whole school, on World Book Day, the children enjoyed coming into school dressed as a book character and shared the book The Dragon Machine. This allowed wonderful discussions about the characters and predictions of what may happen in the story. This lead to the children creating their own dragon and they wrote a story about their newly created character.

We also celebrated reading throughout the week.  All children were able to take home a book from our whole school 'book give away' and there was a parent kidnap after school to share and enjoy reading books with an adult.  Many children also took part in a competition where they were caught reading in a variety of different locations both inside and outside.
