Book Fair Competition 

Dear Families, 

Our Autumn Book Fair will be arriving next week and open from Wednesday 22nd October, after school. Families have been sent a letter with further details. 

To win a special voucher to spend at the fair, children can enter our school competition in which we are asking them to design and create an informative poster, to persuade their peers to read a favourite book of their choosing. The more colourful, fun and interesting the poster, the better!

Entries must be submitted to your child's class teacher by Friday 24th October and be labelled with their full name and class.

Maths

Your child will be coming home every Friday with a '10 Minute Maths Workout' book. Please could they complete page 14 and 15 only. 

Please could this be returned to school by Wednesday 5th November , in order for it to be marked by the class teacher.

Reading Comprehension 

Please note that the Oxford eBook Library has a wide range of books for you to read at home. Once on the webpage you can join for free and select books by age,  by level or by book type of series. If you are unsure of the book band/ level your child is on please contact your class teacher through the class email.

Free Books from Hertfordshire Library Service

If you are not already a library member, you can fill out an easy online form. Parents can order book for their children using an online form and collect it from your nearest library, don’t forget to bring your own bag to collect the book. The library will be able to supply age appropriate reading books rather than specific school reading scheme (book bands).
